A beaded bag chandelier , formerly gas with a circlet of cut crystal between two gilded brass frames, 6 internal lights very early electrification , this light originally dates from C1870 .
Suitable for a late Victorian or Edwardian house in the lobby or entrance hall , exceptional quality and an unusual piece, it may be that the light was made originally for electricity but using gas internal components , this was quite common practice, in which case it would date around 1910. photographed on a chain , it would also be possible to suspend flush to ceiling.
rewired and pat tested.
